A Walk Around the Casa Rosada

With the palace's own visits suspended for individual visitors, this is the best way to see it.

  2. The façade & balcony Face the palace from the Belgrano monument: the central arch, and the famous balcony facing the square.
  3. The grenadiers Walk to the main door on Balcarce street to see the Horse Grenadiers on guard.
  4. Round to Paseo Colón Follow the palace round to the back, past the rear façade, to the museum entrance.
  5. Museo Casa Rosada Free, Wednesday to Sunday: the fort and customs house vaults, presidential history and the Siqueiros mural.
  6. The Cathedral & Cabildo Back across the square: San Martín's tomb in the Cathedral and the colonial Cabildo.
  7. Avenida de Mayo Walk west to Café Tortoni for a coffee, then on towards Congress.
